Event notes and updates:
We have passed our deadline of September 19th, and cannot accept any more registrations (or provide refunds if you need to drop out). Final numbers have been given to the hotel for catering purposes, and there is no one on the waiting list.
A brief schedule of activities was sent to all registrants earlier this week, and the committee is busy putting the final touches on the weekend's activities. We're looking forward to seeing everyone in Leavenworth in just over a week. Registration will open at 3:00 on Friday October 1; just come upstairs to the mezzanine to check in, enjoy some light snacks, then head out back and get in line to wash the travel dust off your MX-5 Miata. The car wash station will be available (self-serve) all weekend.
Don't forget to bring your non-perishable item for the local food bank!

Previous announcements
The absolute last day to get your registration in is September 19th, as we need to provide the hotel with a final number of participants by September 20th. Once we finalize arrangements with the hotel, w are locked into those costs. Anyone still on the waiting list will receive a full refund, but those with confirmed registrations who cancel after the 20th cannot be given a refund.
Again this year, we plan to support the local area food bank in two ways: First, we ask each participant to bring a non-perishable food item to the event; we will collect them when you check in. Second, we will again have a 50/50 raffle (half of the proceeds go to the winner, the other half to the food bank). Often baby items (food, diapers) are welcome; we'll try and post a list of critical needs soon.
If you registered yourself and a guest but did not provide their name, please send me his/her name no later than September 17th, so we can print a name badge for them. If I don't have your guest's name, it will be so noted next to your own name in the list below.
Just a reminder that in order to participate in any of the weekend activities, including riding along as copilot on the event drives, you must register for the event. This is for liability reasons. Your official event badge will be needed for all weekend activities, including drives, the Friday snacks and dessert buffet, and the Saturday night banquet.

Club Miata Northwest is pleased to announce the 11th Backroads to Bavaria. Come join us in Leavenworth, in the heart of the Washington Cascades. This is Oktoberfest weekend, a much-anticipated festival every year. We're already busy planning some new drives, a show & shine, our traditional Backroads banquet, and much more!
This much-anticipated regional event brings Miata lovers from around the region and across the U.S. and Canada, and we expect it to sell out quickly.
Home base will be the Enzian Inn in Leavenworth, and both the Friday night welcome gathering & dessert buffet and the Saturday banquet will take place here. Additional accommodations are available at the Alpine Rivers Inn, overlooking the Wenatchee River. A block of rooms has been set aside at both hotels. Be sure to mention "Miata Club" when making your reservation.
It's so nice to see so many familiar names on the list of participants, and so many new ones! We're looking forward to seeing you and your MX-5 Miata in October. As more details about the event become available, we will post them here on the Backroads event page.
